An accountant was charged with 45 counts of tax evasion at the Subordinate Courts on Tuesday.
A statement from the Inland Revenue Department says Onn Ping Lan allegedly committed the offences between 1998 and 2002.
This involves under-declared income and inflated expenses of S$1,532,895.
The tax involved is S$373,301.21.
If found guilty, Onn will have to pay a penalty of 3 times the tax undercharged or nearly S$1.2 million, a fine of S$10,000, and can also face a jail term of 3 years.
